Dublin Airport turns pink and blue to support families across Ireland
If you have been driving up towards Dublin Airport or catching a flight since yesterday, you will see a pretty distinct change to the grounds after dark. Terminal 2, the main DUB signs, and several surrounding buildings were lit up in bright pink and blue.
It is all part of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. The lighting campaign will run right through the week, tying into the global Wave of Light event on Thursday, October 15th.
At 7pm that evening, parents and families across Ireland and right around the world will light candles and leave them lit for an hour to remember babies who passed away during pregnancy or early childhood.
Dublin Airport joined landmarks nationwide in turning pink and blue to show support for bereaved families and help normalise conversations around baby loss.
Support and advice are available through Irish charities including Féileacáin, A Little Lifetime Foundation, and the Miscarriage Association of Ireland.
